Yes really! You can stay in Cuba for about $30 a night or about $210 for the entire week! I visted Cuba last month and found some great places to stay in private homes. The average price was $25 to $35 per night with  private bath rooms. The living area is usually shared.                                                                                              ...

Personally, I think the best places to stay in Cuba are rooms in privately owned homes. You get to mix with the locals and really get a feel of the real Cuba. Plus the prices are so much lower than in a hotel and you help the local economy! All of the "proprietors" were very friendly and extremely open to sharing their homes and knowledge....

After being away from Cuba for decades, I finally went back to my birth country. Wow, what an emotional roller coaster. Because my Visa did not arrive on time, I had to cut my trip back from 7 days to 4 days. I also had to take a new airline because the initial airline flight schedule was very limited. By the way, all flights are currently through charter companies. Despite being a relatively short trip, it was packed with experience. Overall, the Cuban people are lovely and the country is beautiful. I took lots of pictures, many of which I...
